Ambit puts a multi-port PRI server between the DMARC and your legacy PBX. Once this is done, Asterisk is able to intercept inbound and outbound calls and puts you, the customer, in the driver's seat about how those calls are handled. This configuration also lets you easily handle calls between old handsets and new SIP handsets so the users don't notice a change.

Now it is simply a matter of picking a group of phones (maybe a department or physical location) and you decide the "cutover" date.
